Buildout Schedule vs Acuity Scheduling
Acuity is the appointment-book veteran — service businesses, classes, intake forms, part of the Squarespace family. It is a solid appointment book. The question is whether an appointment book is all you need.

Where Acuity is strong
Acuity has run salons, studios, and clinics for years: appointment types with intake forms, packages and gift certificates, and tight coupling with the rest of the Squarespace suite. If your website already lives on Squarespace and you sell session packages, it fits naturally.
Where we differ
Acuity is a paid product tied to a website-builder suite; Buildout Schedule stands alone and starts free with unlimited event types. Our payments take 0% platform fee through your own Stripe account. And the page layer is ours alone: a Rep Card that sells you, a Schedule Page for the whole weekly lineup, and Pocket Agent drafting rebooks when someone cancels — an appointment book doesn’t do any of that.
Common questions
I sell class packages — can Buildout Schedule do that?
Not packages as a unit today. You can charge per booking at 0% platform fee, cap classes, and run waitlists. If pre-paid packages are the center of your business, Acuity handles those.
Do I need a Squarespace site to use Buildout Schedule?
No site needed at all. Your Rep Card and Schedule Page are hosted pages on your own subdomain or domain — for a lot of owners they replace the website.
