Buildout Schedule vs Calendly
Calendly is the incumbent, and in 2026 it sells a meeting lifecycle platform: booking, prep, notetaking, follow-up, with an AI assistant named Callie in beta. It earns real money at the top of the market. The question is what you are paying for, and whether the AI you actually want lives there.

Calendly prices as published on calendly.com on August 26, 2026. Ours from the live checkout, monthly billing; annual billing takes 20% off. Their per-seat team price is lower than ours; our solo price and everything the AI does on it are the other half of that trade.
Where Calendly is strong
Calendly has been at this the longest: 100+ native integrations, deep Salesforce and HubSpot hooks, native mobile apps, SSO and SCIM for procurement, booking pages in seven languages, and a Notetaker that joins calls on paid plans. A large sales org living in a CRM gets real value from that depth, and the enterprise checklist is real.
Where we differ
Calendly planted its AI flag at the top of the market. Callie is in beta, English only, sits on paid seats, and replies as Calendly. Our scheduler works the other way around: you CC it on the thread you were already writing, it drafts the reply from your own Gmail in your own voice with times that are actually open, and nothing sends until you approve it. When the other side answers with a pick, the meeting books itself, invite and reminders included. The AI is included on every plan with monthly caps, Solo is $9 a month flat, and payments settle to your own Stripe account at a 0% platform fee.
Who should stick with Calendly
Teams that live in Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo. Orgs that need native iOS and Android apps, SSO and SCIM, or booking pages in seven languages. If procurement wants a decade of review-site history, Calendly has it and we do not yet. Those are real reasons, and none of them stop being true because our AI costs less.
Moving over from Calendly
There is no one-click importer today, and we will not pretend otherwise. Most setups move in an afternoon:
- Sign up free and pick a preset template for your vertical. One pick creates working session types, a Schedule Page, and a Rep Card.
- Rebuild each event type: duration, buffers, minimum notice, intake questions. The editor covers what the old links enforced.
- Connect Google or Microsoft. Busy blocks sync from the first minute, so nothing double-books during the switch.
- Swap the link in your signature and bio. Meetings already booked on the old links keep their own reminders.
- Running a big setup? Email us from the contact page and we will move it with you.
Common questions
How is this different from Calendly AI (Callie)?
Callie is in beta, works in English, lives on paid Calendly seats, and sends its replies as Calendly. Our scheduler drafts inside your own Gmail, in your voice, shows you the draft, and sends only when you approve. It is included on every plan, the free plan too, with monthly caps.
Can I move my event types over from Calendly?
There is no one-click importer today. Event types are quick to rebuild, and the seven preset templates set up the common patterns in one pick. If you have a big setup, email us and we will help move it.
What does the free plan include?
One meeting type with the full flow: booking page, calendar sync, confirmations, reminders, reschedule links, payments at a 0% platform fee, and the AI scheduler with monthly caps. Solo at $9 a month flat unlocks unlimited meeting types.
What does Buildout Schedule not have that Calendly has?
Native iOS and Android apps, SSO and SCIM, group events with capacity, booking pages in seven languages, and the deep CRM-suite integrations: Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo. If your workflow depends on those, Calendly is the safer pick today.
